How to make a QR code
Choose what the code should do, such as open a link, join a Wi-Fi network or start an email, and fill in the details. The code updates as you type. Download it as a PNG for screens and documents, or as an SVG for print, where it stays sharp at any size.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. Many “free” generators create dynamic codes that send people through their own server and stop working unless you pay. Codes made here are static: the information is stored in the pattern itself, so they work forever and nobody tracks the scans.
Wi-Fi QR codes for guests
Pick Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password, then click Print for a ready-made card with the code, network name and password. Guests point their phone camera at it to connect, which suits homes, Airbnbs, cafés and offices.
Tips for codes that always scan
- Keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background works best.
- Leave the quiet zone (white border) around the code.
- Use higher error correction if the code will be printed small, outdoors, or partly covered by a logo.
- Test-scan with your phone before printing lots of copies.
